Physician Leader - LGBTQ advocate
After seeing the disparity in how members of the LGBTQ population are often treated by the medical community, Dr. Palana began advocating for equal, quality care for every single individual. He brings his patient-centered approach to his consultations with the LGBTQ community, where he seeks to make sure that each person is receiving care that is tailored to their specific needs.
He is currently working with the Los Angeles LGBT center to develop LGBTQ-friendly healthcare facilities in the Greater Los Angeles area that includes acute hospital, urgent care centers, outpatient surgical centers, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities. Cesar works to ensure that every patient has equal access to high-quality, holistic healthcare provided by compassionate, knowledgeable doctors.
He is a teacher and educator. He teaches a variety of students from medical students and Internal Medicine residents, to nurse practitioner and physician assistant students.
